When Marcus contacted me for a surprise proposal, I was ecstatic! When he said they were from Utah and traveling to San Diego, then I knew we were meant to be.
If you didn’t know, I’m a born Utahn! That’s right, good ol’ Salt Lake City, and for the locals, more specifically, West Valley City. And if it is the obvious thought that crosses anyone’s mind, no I am not Mormon. 🙂
Planning a surprise proposal shoot is not easy. There’s a lot of planning and organizing, and the most expected thing, things changing last minute! For me, I have to be inspector gadget stalker… in a good way. I never really meet the couple beforehand. Therefore, I really do not know what they look like, except basing it off a photo sent, or what little social media gives me.
Conversations continue up to the actual proposal. What clothes are worn, the time, location change, nerves got to them and they did it sooner then expected. It’s all a rush. But really, one thing remains the same, and that is the excitement, the joy, and the tears. I say tears as in all three of us, yes me included. I’m a sap. I feel like i’m there with the guy, holding this big secret! And still trying to capture the moment!!
For Marcus + Jillian, it was just as special. What was even a nice touch? We hung out with a puppy before Jillian even knew we were going to be friends. Check out the photos below. Thanks to the Beach guy and his new pup for joining us together.
Hi puppy. Show stopper, heart throbber.
I think Marcus was giving me a smirk here.
I had pretended to be a lonely tourist and asked them to take a photo of me. In return, asked if they wanted me to take a photo of them. Yesssss and then the big reveal.
Jillian’s excitement is one of a kind. I got to relive it in 3-4 rounds, all in the few minutes. hehe. Love it, love them.
