I have the greatest respect for military wives and moms.

When Jodie won our Mother’s Day Family Shoot giveaway earlier this year, and I learned she was a wife to a sergeant and mother to two adorable kids, I was ecstatic. The shoot had her name written all over it. She deserved it. She is sweet, loving, funny, and strong. Jodie + Duane have two ridiculously cute kids Dax & Ethan, whom couldn’t be anymore opposite, yet couldn’t love one another any more.

After months of scheduling and re-scheduling and dodging unexpected rainy days, we finally got the shoot. The shoot that illustrates love, joy, and such humor in the family .Thank you Commiato family for finding your way to me and letting me capture a beautiful family on such a wonderful sunny day in San Diego.

I had to see how strong Duane was, so I asked him to pick up his boys up at the same time,  he said sure and even offered to hang them from his arms! Monkey boys? Why not! With that smile, I’d say he enjoyed it…
